FASTER THAN LIGHT

2009/3/1 (Sunday) | Filed under: Speed

Warp Speed refers to a velocity faster than that of light. A warp drive is a hypothetical propulsion system that is supposed to help attain this speed, although a warp drive is still a part of science fiction. Time dilation is an impending problem when it comes to such high speed as stated in Einstein’s Theory of Relativity. Thus a warp drive not only permits instantaneous travel of a vehicle, but it also creates a bubble of normal space-time around the vehicle. This enables the vehicle to be able to interact with its immediate surroundings. Although there have been several theories and studies based on warp speed systems, none of them seem promising in the practical world.
